メアリー・スティーブン（映画編集）
香港生まれ、フランス在住。フランス芸術文化勲章受勲。米国映画芸術科学アカデミー編集支部会員。1980～2006のエリック・ロメール監督作品や、「Our Time Will Come」（2017、香港電影金像奨で最優秀作品賞、編集賞ノミネート）を含む近年のアン・ホイ作品など、名匠の映画編集を手掛ける一方で、アジアの若手映像作家の作品にも参加。ときおり製作にも携わる。ドキュメンタリーでは「青年☆趙」（2014/監督：ドゥ・ハイビン/中国・フランス）、「Last Train Home」（2009/監督：ファン・リシン/中国・カナダ）、「The Apology」（2016/監督：ティファニー・ション/カナダ）など20本近くを数える。自身の脚本・監督作品も少なくない。これまでフランス、カナダ、アジア等、世界各地の映画祭や教育機関にゲスト講師やアドバイザー、審査員に招かれている。
Mary STEPHEN (Film editor)
Born in Hong Kong, based in France. Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, France. Member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, Editor’s Branch, USA. Editor for Eric Rohmer’s films from 1980 to 2006 and recent Ann Hui’s films including _Our Time Will Come_ (2017, Best Film Hong Kong Film Awards, nominated for Best Editing). Aside from working with these masters of cinema, she has edited films by young Asian filmmakers, sometimes participating as associate producer. Documentary credits list nearly 20, including _A Young Patriot_ (2014, dir: Du Haibin, China-France), _Last Train Home_ (2009, dir: Fan Lixin, China-Canada), _The Apology_ (2016, dir: Tiffany Hsiung, Canada). Stephen’s filmography includes films she scripted and directed herself. She has been invited to film festivals and film institutions in France, Canada, Asia and around the world as tutor, mentor, and juror.

想田和弘（映画作家）
1970年栃木県足利市生まれ。東京大学文学部卒。スクール・オブ・ビジュアル・アーツ卒。93年からニューヨーク在住。映画作家。台本やナレーション、BGM等を排した、自ら「観察映画」と呼ぶドキュメンタリーの方法を提唱・実践。監督作品に『選挙』(07)、『精神』(08)、『Peace』(10)、『演劇1』(12)、『演劇2』(12)、『選挙2』(13)、『牡蠣工場』(15)、『港町』(18)、ミシガン大学の学生を含む総勢17人で監督した『ザ・ビッグハウス』（18）があり、国際映画祭などでの受賞多数。著書に「精神病とモザイク」（中央法規出版）、「なぜ僕はドキュメンタリーを撮るのか」（講談社現代新書）、「演劇VS映画」（岩波書店）、「日本人は民主主義を捨てたがっているのか？」（岩波ブックレット）、「熱狂なきファシズム」（河出書房新社）、「カメラを持て、町へ出よう」（集英社インターナショナル）、「観察する男」（ミシマ社）、「THE BIG HOUSE アメリカを撮る」（岩波書店）など。 日米多くの大学に招かれ講義・講演を行っている。
SODA Kazuhiro (Filmmaker)
Soda Kazuhiro is a Peabody Award winning filmmaker. He practices an observational method of documentary filmmaking based on his own “Ten Commandments” which prohibits him from doing pre-shoot research or writing a synopsis before filming. He imposes these rules on himself in order to minimize preconceptions and to be able to make unexpected discoveries while filming and editing. His debut feature documentary _Campaign_(2007) was invited to many prestigious festivals such as Berlinale and was aired in nearly 200 countries and territories around the world. It won the Peabody Award in the U.S. _Mental_ (2008) won the Best Documentary Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the Dubai International Film Festival. _Peace_(2010), the opening film of DMZ Documentary Festival, won the Best Documentary Award at the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Tokyo Filmex. _Theatre 1 and 2_ (2012) won the Young Juries Prize at the Festival des 3 Continents. _Campaign 2_ (2013) has been invited to such festivals as Cinema du Reel, Hong Kong International Film Festival, and MoMA Documentary Fortnight. _Oyster Factory_ (2015) premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival and won the audience award at the Kinotayo Film Festival. _Inland Sea_ (2018) was invited to Berlinale while _The Big House_ (2018) co-directed by 17 others including students of University of Michigan showed at Berlin Critics Week. He is currently working on _Second Life_.  He is also the author of eight books published in Japan and lectures extensively in the US and Japan. 

秦岳志（映画編集）
1973年東京都生まれ。大学在学中よりBOX OFFICEの映像制作部でテレビ番組、映画予告編制作を担当。99年よりフリーランスとなり、現在はドキュメンタリー映画と予告編の編集を中心に活動。編集した主な映画作品に、佐藤真監督『花子』(01)、『阿賀の記憶』(04)、『エドワード・サイード OUT OF PLACE』(05)、ジャン・ユンカーマン監督『チョムスキー9.11 Power and Terror』(02)、小林茂監督『わたしの季節』(04)、『チョコラ！』(08)、『風の波紋』(15)、真鍋俊永監督『みんなの学校』（14/編集協力）、小森はるか監督『息の跡』(17)、原一男監督『ニッポン国VS泉南石綿村』(17)、戸田ひかる監督『愛と法』(17)など。
HATA Takeshi (Film editor)
Born 1973 in Tokyo, Hata began editing TV programs and film trailers professionally during his university years. Going freelance in 1999, his main work is film editor for theatrical documentaries and trailers. His filmography includes films by Sato Makoto such as _Hanako_ (2001), _Memories of Agano_ (2004), and _Out of Place: Memories of Edward Said_ (2005); _Power and Terror_ (2002) by John Junkerman; _And Life Goes On_ (2004), _Chokora!_ (2008), _Dryads in a Snow Valley_ (2015) by Kobayashi Shigeru; _Minnano Gakko_ (2014/editing support) by Manabe Toshinaga; _Trace of Breath_ (2017) by Komori Haruka; _Sennan Asbestos Disaster_ (2017) by Hara Kazuo; _Of Love and Law_ (20017) by Toda Hikaru.

鈴木治行（作曲家）　
東京都出身。1995年、『二重の鍵』で第16回入野賞受賞。作品は国内外で演奏され、NHK-FM、ラジオ・フランス、ベルリン・ドイツ・ラジオ、DRS2、ラジオ・カナダなどで放送されている。90年代後半より映画音楽の仕事も開始し、2001年には『M/OTHER』の音楽で第54回毎日映画コンクール音楽賞受賞。関わった作品は『H story』『不完全なふたり』『フタバから遠く離れて』『よみがえりのレシピ』『PANORAMA』『チョコリエッタ』『ANIMAを撃て！』『おだやかな革命』他多数。またサイレント映画に生演奏で音楽を付ける活動も行っている。2015年には東京都庭園美術館にて『饗宴のあと』を発表。
SUZUKI Haruyuki (Composer)
Tokyo-born composer Suzuki Haruyuki won the Irino Prize in 1995. His work has been performed extensively and broadcast on NHK-FM (Japan), on French, German, Canadian radio. He participated in music festivals like Gaudeamus Music Week in Netherlands in 2005, Santa Maria Nuova Musica Festival in Italy in 2006. He works on film music since mid-90s, winning the 54th Mainichi Eiga Competition with his score for _M/OTHER_(dir Suwa Nobuhiro). He wrote music for Suwa’s other films including _H Story_ and _Un couple parfait_, for experimental filmmaker Iimura Takahiko, Funahashi Atsushi’s documentary _Nuclear Nation_, Watanabe Satoshi’s _Reviving Recipes_, animation artist Keita Kurosaka and others. He also performs live accompaniment to silent films. In 2015 he collaborated on the score of an audio interactive work at Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum.

タルン・バルティア（ゲスト講師）
映画作家、詩人、政治活動家。インド北東部メガラヤ州のシーロンを拠点とする。インディペンデント映画、テレビ向け番組（BBCなど）の両方の監督を経験。インド北東部からの発信で人気のウェブマガジンRAIOTの創立者のひとりであり、このメディアを通して執筆・映像の発表もする。山形国際ドキュメンタリー映画祭2017の審査員で撮影監督のランジャン・パリット監督作品『イン・カメラ』などの編集も担当。
Tarun BHARTIYA (guest mentor)
